IRIX-8 s’inscrit dans une suite de sérigraphies qui, mariant des couleurs et des variations tonales inusitées, transforment de simples nuages en troublant tableau d’ambiance. L’artiste imprime des dégradés de couleur à partir de multiples couches d’encre transparente, créant ainsi des images visuellement vibrantes, quasi tactiles, qui estompent la limite entre forme et espace.

Meaghan Hyckie’s prints and drawings represent simple iconography, channelling the sentiments and anxieties that this imagery evokes into visually and emotionally complex works. Hyckie has exhibited across Canada with Galerie Nicolas Robert (Montreal), Olga Korper Gallery (Toronto), Macaulay & Co. Fine Art (Vancouver), Museum London, and the Art Gallery of Windsor. Her work is included in the collection of the Art Gallery of Ontario, Museum London, and the BMO and RBC Corporate Art collections.
