For the second consecutive year, it’s my privilege to be the honorary president of the Vendu–Sold auction. I accepted the invitation from Les éditions Esse to join the adventure again because I’m convinced that my presence can make a difference not only for the auction but also for contemporary art collecting in general. Not only is the connection between the business world and art valuable, it’s vital. I’m proud to be Esse’s ambassador in this mission!
I discovered Esse magazine nine years ago, and ever since I’ve been constantly amazed by the quality of its content and the relevance of its analyses. It offers a unique and essential perspective on contemporary art, highlighting both emerging and established artists with remarkable intellectual insight.

All of this combined will make this edition of Vendu-Sold an unforgettable event, and I’m proud to be part of it.
These days, with increasingly drastic cuts to the philanthropic budgets of governments and businesses, the generosity of individuals is proving to be even more important for artists and cultural organizations. Our support is crucial to ensure that contemporary art is there to reach out to us and
