Après un spectacle

Oil on canvas, 2010

91 x 91 cm
Estimate
$1 600
The painting entitled Après un spectacle depicts the site of a party after the celebrants have gone. A crudely designed landscape surrounds a stage on which a musical or theatrical performance took place. The landscape recounts a human activity filled with euphoric sensations and commonplace intoxication. The picture, in which ideas of creation and destruction mingle, bears witness to an event in which elements of nature and culture cohabit.
