Réminiscence II is a participatory project that invites participants to influence the creation process by delving into their old family albums and childhood memories. After their own excavations, the co-creator will send me a high-quality scan of a significant photograph, which I will incorporate into the image in place of my paternal grandfather's face.
Dreamland is a series of photographs taken in April 2020 in the Racine forest as an escape from the confinement of my bungalow. The images captured on the surface of mirror fragments evoke the blur of childhood memories and the sharpness of intergenerational wounds.
Biographical note
Jessica is interested in the process of artistic creation: what sparks inspiration as well as what hinders its expression. The projects are brief and experienced with a sense of urgency to express psychic discoveries before they fade into the depths of the unconscious. Her tools for excavating the continent of shadow that is the psyche are photography, poetry, and recently performance art.
