Often working in series, either on paper or canvas, I attempt to transport the image into precarious places, by means of irrational and intuitive states from which dyslexic or contradictory compositions may suddenly emerge. This process involves constant decision-making, aimed at conserving that which deserves to survive in the image. There is no scope for non-essentials. Despite the abstractions, the results of my artistic approach are intimately linked with the organic and my profound appreciation of nature. In a9, the lines, juxtaposed with various, subtly balanced planes and structures, guide the viewer towards other horizons. This interval generates unity between the objects but also a sense of malaise, as this fragile state could disintegrate at any moment.
