VALUE OF WORKS
Each lot has an estimated market value based on the gallery selling price. The estimated value is intended as a guide to assist you in your bidding. All lots are offered subject to a reserve bid.
AUCTION
The auction takes place online September 11-22, 2024, on the BYDealers website (live.bydealers.com). To bid online, you must register with BYDealers and provide a valid credit card number in order to receive a digital participation number. A mobile application is available free of charge so you can bid from a smartphone or a tablet*. The BYDealers application offers you the opportunity to make automatic bids. Even if you place a winning bid, your credit card will not be automatically debited. An invoice will be sent to you by email within a few days following the end of the action. The Éditions Esse team will contact you by phone to plan your payment and your taking possession of the artwork purchased. Ownership of and full responsibility for the artwork purchased will then be transferred to you; transportation of the artwork may also be organized. If the top bid for an artwork doesn’t reach its reserve price, Les éditions Esse may reject the bid and withdraw the artwork from the auction. If there is doubt about the validity of a bid, Les éditions Esse reserves the right, without appeal, to determine which bid will be accepted or to put the disputed work back on sale.

GENERAL AUCTION RULES
All sales are final. No purchase may be returned or exchanged. All objects are sold as is. The winning bidders must pay for their purchases within ten (10) days following the end of the exhibition. Les éditions Esse reserves the right to withdraw an artwork at any time before the sale. The artworks sold are exempt of taxes. No purchase premium will be added to the hammer price (winning bid).
COLLECTING THE ARTWORK
The works will be available for pickup starting Monday, September 30, at the Guido Molinari Foundation.
All artworks must be paid for before being collected. Purchasers must collect their artworks, presenting proof of identity, within ten (10) days following the end of the exhibition*. They may, at their expense, use a professional delivery service. Les éditions Esse is not responsible for accidents or oversights by handlers or packers of the lots purchased, whether they are recommended or not.

BIDDING BY BUY ORDER
If it is impossible for you to use the BYDealers platform, Les éditions Esse may execute a buy order on your behalf. Les éditions Esse will bid for you with the goal of purchasing the lot at the lowest price, given the other bids and the reserve price, up to the maximum amount indicated in your buy order*. All buy orders are subject to the stated conditions of sale. Please submit the forms as quickly as possible, by Saturday, September 21, 2024, at midnight (EST) at the latest. If identical orders are submitted, the earlier one will take precedence. The winning bidders will be notified by phone on Monday, September 23, 2024. Les éditions Esse may take charge of coordinating transport of the artwork at the purchaser’s expense.

Esse provides no warranties or representation of any kind with respect to any work of art, including but not limited to any description, genuineness, attribution, provenance, or physical condition, nor as to the right of reproduction, if any. Bidders and purchasers may not rely upon any statement from Esse, oral or otherwise, other than as set forth in these conditions of sale.
