The drawing Untitled is part of a series of drawings made in conjunction with the Nervous Lattice series of paintings (Battat Contemporary, Jan. 2012). The drawings were made using motifs taken from working and finished paintings. Similar to the paintings, the drawings were made following the parameters of various generative systems. In this sense, the drawings are not studies for the paintings but act as a related yet divergent forum, in which the motifs used explore latent potentials and novel relationships.
