Impression jet d’encre d’archive sur papier archives satiné, 2020
Presented at VU as part of the Mois Multi in Quebec, the performative exhibition — Yesterday is Today, questioned the result of an overproduction of images and self-fiction.
By making their daily life their space of creation and dissemination, the artist physically experienced the state of isolation encouraged by new virtual communities, producing approximately 120 hours of continuous and live streaming (from Wednesday to Sunday, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., between February 11th and March 13th, 2016) that could only be viewed in the gallery, as well as more than 1,700 images generated and shared simultaneously on the Instagram feed (@mirrorspapillon) throughout their performance. The artwork presented for Les Encans stems from this photographic journal.
