Raspberry Tart

Flashe vinyl paint on paper, 2008

29 x 104 cm
Estimate
$1 300
Raspberry Tart plays with things from the nursery: an iconic fruit pie, a sing-song rhyme, curlicue script and a colour just short of rock candy or a slap on the buttocks. The pretty text is, however deceiving and ends on a rude note. A long format and a sniggering joke—this is a permanent raspberry, a loop of distaste.
