The title of the photographic series Kiev is inspired by a Kiev 60 camera, purchased in a second-hand camera store in Saint Petersburg. Evidence of the creative process — the mise-en-scène, lighting, and accessories — is visible in this series, which is conceived as a meditation on the photographic subject, a kind of statement for materiality.
