The graphic work presented here is part of the project Domus (Les résonances des plateformes), begun in 2017 and continuing until 2027. It is an empirical and poetic study on the porosity of our body-home, a work of observation in which Guerrera attends to the shifts between environments of practice and living environments. This drawing is one of the plates that compose volume 2 of the book-installation in Domus.
Biographical note
Massimo Guerrera cultivates techniques such as drawing, writing, photography, installation, and performance to work in the fertile space of the processes of encounter and its laminar movements. Between being-together and the solitude of the studio, Guerrera’s approach focuses on the sensitive oscillations of our relationships with ourselves and with others. Through his research on porosity and the construction of forms of identity, both individual and cultural, his performative approach since 1989 has explored the relationships that rule alterity and the environments in which we live. His questions are anchored in a daily practice extended and enhanced by meditation. His research is embodied in long-term projects in which a series of collection take shape, articulated around oscillations of awareness and different modes of writing and expression. This work, attentive to the processes of creativity and listening, leans into the different states of mind that develop within it.
