In winter 2021, during the pandemic, I produced this series of daily drawings using the Enzo Mari Danese perpetual wall calendar that I inherited from a previous job. Whilst switching the tiles each morning, I would trace them into a composition that would be completed during the day, embracing subtle differences between the days during that isolated time.

Sullivan’s work is in the collections of the National Gallery of Canada, the Art Gallery of Ontario, the McMichael Canadian Art Collection, and the Agnes Etherington Art Centre. He has been nominated five times for the Sobey Art Award, and was shortlisted in 2012. He is an associate professor at OCAD University, Toronto.
