This contradictory object seeks to emphasize the absurd nature of our preoccupations, in particular the importance of bodily image and the obsessive world of fitness training. This work seeks to reveal our foolishness, superficiality, and insecurity in a world that has more important issues to deal with… The object is certainly an expression of social criticism, but instead of preaching, the work illustrates human fragility and the often absurd, ephemeral, and illusory nature of this type of obsession.
