A length of machine-woven cloth is stained and stretched over a square frame whose axis of vertical and horizontal cross-braces is visible through the fabric’s warp and weft. Echoing their widths, two painted linear geometric figures, obliquely diagonal, incline gently inward from their placements in opposite margins in a nearly symmetrical diagram.
