The Vendu–Sold benefit auction raises funds to support Les éditions Esse in its dissemination of contemporary art. The event offers collectors the opportunity to acquire works by well-known Canadian artists, while contributing to the vitality of Esse magazine. Part of the proceeds also go to the participating artists.

Now known as an essential event on the contemporary-art calendar, Vendu–Sold has provided an opportunity for many art lovers to explore a new passion for collecting, and for others to enhance their collections. Through their acquisitions they have reconfirmed their invaluable commitment to supporting artists and enabling Esse to continue its efforts to promote contemporary art.

The 17th edition of Vendu–Sold will take place from September 8 to 20, 2026, on the website of BYDealers Auction House. An exhibition bringing together the 44 artworks on auction will be presented simultaneously at the Guido Molinari Foundation:
