Écran en hiver is part of a body of images accumulated over the last twenty years. In it there are images of all sorts of things: snapshots and lots of interrupted projects. These images are structured according to the various points of view—central or orthogonal framing, or the creation of a parallel between the film plane and the plane of the photographic subject. They often produce a flattening out of space possibly linked to the practice of painting that preceded Paiement's photographic work.
