The aim of the in situ intervention La ligne bleue is to inscribe in the night-time landscape of Manhattan a line of blue light at the height of 65 metres, using the interior lighting of the buildings along the East River in the financial district. This height corresponds to scientific projections of sea level if all the ice on the planet were to melt. The edition of twenty prints is intended to fund the next steps in producing the intervention in the public space of New York.
Biographical note
Aude Moreau développe, depuis les années 2000, un corpus d’œuvres qui combinent sa double formation en scénographie et en arts visuels. Ses installations ont été présentées au Québec, aux États-Unis, en France, en Italie, en République tchèque et au Luxembourg. Son travail fait partie de la collection Loto-Québec, de la collection Prêt d’œuvres d’art du Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec et de la Banque d’œuvres d’art du Canada, ainsi que de plusieurs collections privées.
Lauréate de la bourse Claudine et Stephen Bronfman en art contemporain et du prix Powerhouse en 2011, Aude Moreau a exposé en mars 2015 son plus récent travail à la Galerie de l’UQAM et à la galerie antoine ertaskiran.
