I work with printmaking and drawing. Printmaking allows me to experiment with repetition and pattern, while drawing allows me to add layers of personal marks and develop ideas as I work on the printed matrices. The work of the hand exposes the beauty of structure and how the human touch fits into a universal framework. I create macro and microcosms, like here, starting from a single cell. The cell exists within its confined environment, navigating its surroundings within the limits of possibility. I work at the intersection of art and science to tell stories that nourish my imagination and fill it with wonder. Understanding how the world works is at the core of my artistic endeavor. I am interested in our perception and understanding of the Universe on a cosmological, personal, and microscopic scale. I also enjoy grand narratives and feeling that I am part of the larger human and natural stories. The narrative in my works is expressed through series. Nothing can be represented in a single sentence, artwork, or thought, neither in life nor in art.
