Study for Searching for a Heart of Gold

Graphite sur papier, 2017

40.64 x 50.8 cm
This piece aims to compare a real and implicit illusion. My work as a painter is interested in illusions, which I like to consider as a metaphor for desire. In this drawing, I highlight this idea with symbolic imagery intended to suggest clichéd images of beauty and the artist's hand.
