This work is part of The Silver Collection, a series of sculptures mimicking Chinese export trade silverware. My “silver” objects are made from aluminum or stainless steel. Here, I have cut out an aluminum pizza pan, basing the design on a turn-of-the-twentieth-century openwork silver dish, but updated for today’s consumers.
