In the scrap yards, Christiane Arbour sees traces of urban life, but also a certain immobility, a joyful anticipation, a reinvented calm, as well as the birth of a new self-sufficient reuse society: "In these times of post-industrialization, mechanical devices manufactured and used by humanity have become so ubiquitous that they are almost invisible in the landscape. I perceive mechanics as an extension of the human body. For me, these objects serve as a pretext for artistic creation. They come to life and manifest themselves in a universe of materials and colors."
