Biographical note
Over the past 5 years, I have incorporated cyanotypes as a way of rethinking the gendered history of photographic technology. I use found materials to create negatives - basketball nets, wood, mirrors - to compose these cyanotypes/abstract photos on canvas. Photographers like myself are interested in the materiality of photographs and are pushing against and rethinking what the photograph is and can be, by exploring the medium to the fullest of its expressive potential.
