Acrylique et vinyle sur toile, 2019
This artwork is an exploration of the relationship between human beings and the spaces they inhabit. I tried to deconstruct a generic environment in which a majority of people can visualize themselves in order to alter the perception of how people look at the space in the canvas.
I chose the iconography of swimming pools, because it is intimately linked to positive memories in common imagination. The vibrant colors and the playfulness of the modifications of the objects and the space illustrate the feeling evoked by the idea of the pool rather than the representation of the pool itself.
