Tissu figé

Céramique, 2017

25 x 31 x 9 cm
Originating from a series of textile printed ceramics, the piece is the result of a research on fabric and the different materialities it can adopt. I also test the limits of clay and image transfer through simple actions: twisting, folding, punching, cutting, and printing. These motions result in a loss of details, which highlights the sensitivity of the clay.
Biographical note
Due to ecological concerns, I wish to stop producing objects that have only one purpose. Therefore, I collect little things: pieces of cloth, clay, plaster, photographs, household objects, shelves, books, etc. Depending on the nature of my projets, I pull different object from this meticulously organized selection. It shapes my everyday life while I figure how to offer a second chance to these items.
