This work plays with ideas of taste and nostalgia; a sparkly, elasticated fabric reminiscent of both clubwear and children’s costumes is stretched and draped over a mound of batting on a panel, acting at once as canvas, garment and pillow. A beaded grid and hand-stitched pleated detailing embellish the surface, unapologetically decorative.
